Don Cesar - Benidorm

We would like to say that Don Cesar, was very nice, basic and clean. We enjoyed our stay and was glad to be at the best part of old town Benidorm.There were some fantastic tapas bars and drinking houses around the hotel. Overall the experience was very good. I would stay there again.

Even though i refer to the above, our room was at the back of the hotel which was on a small road leading round to the front. This road at night and morning was very busy and became very noisy. It did not spoil our stay just thought i would mention it.

The hotel is basically OK - the rooms are good value and the location is excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful, although the restricted opening hours of reception may be an issue for some. It is only yards from the beach, and the old town is on the doorstep.

What was annoying (and not the hotels fault) was that we had a room with a side sea view, and the road underneath was a meeting place - itself not an issue, but the building opposite acted as an echo-chamber, and the room was very noisy until @ 5.00 am. It was only people talking and laughing, but it stopped me sleeping. The only other thing to note was that the building next door is a college (which started at 8.00 am) so it felt a little uncomfortable sat on the balcony being watched by a class of students. Both these issues may be resolved by booking a front sea view.

Very very noisy with bar just a few feet away and you have a constant flow of Spanish teens roaming up and down shouting. I would not recomend this hotel if you want to sleep. We were there 5 days and never had the towels changed once. Room was not very clean.

Very noisy at night loud street late night drinking. 1 english tv channel sky news. No air conditioning until july. Over 1 week room cleaned once.

Location and sea view.Second time wehave stayed at these apartments.Staff very friendly and helpfull.

We arirved late key was left at cafe next door no problems room clean and tiday we stayed 4 nights 5 days staff was very good we had a late flight home left r cases in room no problem me and my wife will go back again good value for money the only prob was we had second floor better to go high up.

Corridors were quite dark and some lights were not working so climbimg stairs was dangerous

Benidorm night live is wonderful, but in early hours of morning (about 2 AM, sometimes 3 AM) there are still a lot of noise from streets near the hotel and there is a problem to sleep with opened windows.

This hotel is perfect for the beach which is10 mts from door with the café and road only thing between it. It is ideal for shopping, the Old Town is on your doorstep and the views are spectacular if you book a sea view room. Bedrooms and living area are the biggest I have stayed in. Don Cesar fits all our criteria for a hotel, clean, quiet and next to all amenities without being on top of them. We have read some bad reviews about the hotel but we have been 3 times in last 16 months and loved it every time. This place offers great value for money, it is an old fashioned family run hotel for those looking for a peaceful break.

We only had one key as the people before us had taken the keys with them (how selfish is that!)

The only plus was the sea view, no sky t v although when I booked it on the internet it did say there was certain channels that we could get, also a toaster would be nice.

Hotel Don Cesar is in an excellent location, right on the front, with the Mediterranean Sea rolling in just yards away. To your left is a good view right down Levante beach. To the rear of the hotel is the old town and, not far up the narrow streets, you'll find a big indoor fresh fruit & meat market with a Tesco type supermarket downstairs for water, bread, milk etc. The owners of Don Cesar, Mr Yanez & his family, are very nice and nothing is too much trouble. Any problems and he will sort it out. It's not a 5* hotel remember but, if you want a nice quaint, safe, quiet, tidy, clean hotel with a relaxed atmosphere, then the Don Cesar is for you. After a long hot day in Benidorm, get a big cool jug of Sangria from the bar downstairs and chill out on your room balcony...............well isn't that why you're there?
